Married 57 years to Charles Harris Sr. Have 1 son, Charles Jr., 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Grew up in Saratoga Springs, NY, the oldest of 6 children. I accepted Jesus as my Savior in The Salvation Army Sunday School early in my childhood, but I committed my heart to Him at a Salvation Army Youth congress at the age of 13. I believe even at that time,e Jesus was calling and preparing me for the ministry. We were married for 10 years when my husband and I were called to be officers/pastors. We studied at The Salvation Army College For Officers in Suffern,NY, commissioned along with my husband Charles with the rank of Lieutenant and ordained as pastors in 1982. Serving in Massena, Canandaigua, and Niagara Falls, NY, then in Willamsport and Lock Haven Pa. as well as 4 years as missionaries in Zambia, Africia. In retirement I continue to serve God in Leesburg, Florida and enjoy coming up north during the summer to Lamar Light House Camp Ground where I serve on the board. I have a heart for missions, children, for the lost, lonely and underserved. God called me to this ministry and I will serve Him til I meet Him face to face. My life Scripture is found in Proverbs 3:5&6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.”
